I’m a huge advocate of the leather double strap monk dress shoes. You can wear them to dress up your blue jeans and you can wear them to make a suit look bodacious. Last year Italian double strap monks killed it and have continued to do so in the beginning of 2012. Allen Edmonds & Polo Black Label make great monks, but are a little pricy. However, if you cannot afford them, I suggest saving until you can. DO NOT reconcile for the monk athletic shoes… you’ll be dateless until the end of time. I guarantee it.
